These Terms govern use of Piora Math ("Piora," "we," or "us") by a parent, guardian, educator, or other authorized adult and the learner they permit to use the Services. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The Services are educational tools intended for family and school use. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized educator is responsible for creating and managing an account for a learner, providing accurate information, supervising the learner's use, and obtaining any permissions required by applicable law or school policy. The adult account holder is responsible for activity under the account.
Piora may offer a limited free trial. The current trial is lesson-based: a learner may complete one free lesson before a paid subscription is required to start another lesson. We may change, limit, or discontinue a trial as permitted by law; changes will not affect rights already required by law.
Piora may offer paid subscriptions. On iOS, subscriptions are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system and renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple Account subscription settings. Apple displays the applicable price, duration, and renewal terms before purchase and handles payment, cancellation, and eligible refund requests under its policies. You can restore eligible Apple purchases in the app.
Where web billing is offered, checkout and recurring billing are processed by Stripe and the terms shown at checkout apply. Access may end or be limited when a subscription expires, is cancelled, or payment fails. Except where required by law or the applicable store's policies, fees are non-refundable. Taxes may apply.
You may initiate account deletion in the app's account settings. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple or Stripe subscription and does not create a refund. Please cancel an active subscription through the applicable billing-management flow before deleting the account. Our handling of deletion requests is described in the Privacy Policy.
Piora uses AI-assisted tutoring and may offer audio transcription and text-to-speech. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is provided for educational support, not as professional, medical, legal, psychological, or individualized educational-plan advice. Parents, guardians, and educators should review learning recommendations as appropriate.
You may not misuse the Services, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious material, infringe another person's rights, misrepresent a learner's age or authority to act for a learner, or use the Services in violation of law or school policy. We may suspend or terminate access to protect users, the Services, or our rights.
You retain rights in content you submit. You give Piora the limited permission needed to host, process, troubleshoot, and improve the Services using that content. We do not sell identifiable learner information. We will seek permission before using identifiable family stories or testimonials in marketing.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every learning recommendation will be correct. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piora's liability arising from the Services is limited to the amount paid to Piora for the Services during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
We may update these Terms when the Services or legal requirements change. If a change is material, we will provide notice as required by law. Questions about these Terms or children's data rights can be sent to privacy@piora.ai.
